Ruben Horbach is the founder of WizKid, an Internet of Things startup, and a graduate student currently writing his thesis to finish his Communication & Multimedia Design study. He is a speaker on emerging technologies. Here is how Ruben describes the current landscape: “People are flooded by information about new consumer technologies. We see an enormous rise in the amount of articles in today’s newspapers. Futuristic devices such as interactive smart TV’s, smart thermostats and wearables target a broad audience. Consumers, companies & governments however, often fail to see the big picture. I aim to connect the futuristic world with practical applications for consumers. The Internet of Things as an emerging global Internet-based information architecture facilitating the exchange of goods & services is gradually developing. More ubiquitous devices are embedded in our daily lives, serving us in a broad range of purposes in everyday life from: personal healthcare to home automation. By 2015 there will be 25 billion autonomous internet-connected devices, with sources estimating 50+ billion by 2020. Interview with Saku Tuominen How to Upgrade 9-to-5: What Actually Works in Organizations

Saku Tuominen is an entrepreneur, innovator, creative director, executive producer, author, keynote speaker and curator. He founded Broadcasters, one of the most successful independent Finnish TV production companies. In 2009-2010 Saku Tuominen was the Chief Creative Officer of Zodiak Entertainment, the world´s 3rd largest TV production company in London. Interview with Maarten den Braber: The World of Biohacking

Maarten den Braber from the Netherlands is a Digital Health Strategist, working on applying and researching new business models in technology and health. He runs digital health strategy company SQRD with clients such as medical-clinical labs, hospital organizations and healthcare marketing agencies. He also co-founded the global Quantified Self Europe conference, QS Amsterdam and Nexthealth (organizing the first ever European Health 2.0 event). Maarten graduated as Master of Science from University of Twente on the subject of Rethinking the Hospital (applying business model theory to the strategic management of hospitals). He is currently also co-organizer of Singularity University NL, founded by NASA and Google. Since 2009 Maarten was co-organizer of the largest worldwide Mobile Monday meetup: MoMo Amsterdam (4,500+ members).
